1. The game is most likely to be released on the date suggested, 25 April. 2. The game will licensed to be used on 2 computers at any one time. 3. The game will be playable immediately on downloading, a serial number will be sent shortly after the purchase, and a buyer will have a day or so to register game before it locks up. 4. RTW1 owners apply their RTW code when ordering to obtain discount. Not sure how the mechanics work with this point, can someone explain this if they can.
Does this summarise what is going to happen on the 25th of April, if not please feel free to open up with all AA available and shoot me down, however factual ammo only accepted

We have decided allowing the game on 2 PCs simultaneously is a good idea, its just that until the logistics have been finalized we cant officially promise it. Thanks!

#4.. just pop your RTW1 serial code in the comments box at checkout for the discount - note it will be posted as a refund credit back to your payment method. I will be handling those Thanks So again to be clear we pay full price and then get a card refund once our RTW serial number is verified? I suppose many could/will complain. Withdraw the RTW1 owner discount and see how many would complain then. To truly sum up this whole affair of the discount issue and process you got to put into prospective. RTW2 is a new game with lots and lots new content, over a larger time span and may be appreciated by a different audience. Paradox didn't give a discount previous owners of their games HIO or EU franchises. In last 20 years I have bought around 5 Hyundai cars, never got a previous owner discount for any of them. With RTW2 a previous owner of RTW discount is a real bonus. Serious no discount no complaint. One should never expect a handout and if any is given appreciate it don't criticise it.

This is much appreciated. Though I've only ever posted a couple of comments, I've lurked here for quite a while and have purchased WC-WW1, WC-WW2, SAI, and RTW1. I have had countless hours of enjoyment from these games, and look forward to many more from RTW2. Thank you for all of your hard work and for rewarding the loyalty of all of your loyal customers!

Quick question about #3, the window of time before a serial number needs to be input--does the timer count the time the game is active or the time since it was first run? That is, do we have X minutes of play before it needs the serial number, or will the game just lock up X minutes after we first open it regardless of how much playtime we get? Thank you for your time replying to us.

To Hoffmads, thanks for the support friend! To pirateradar, alloted time play.. likely to be pretty generous for being nice enough to buy RTW2 and allow us plenty of time to send codes out if needed, chances are will get them out pretty quick though.

Hate to see yet another "classic" publisher/indie developer go to the grave because they choose to make legitimate customers their enemy through obsolete, restrictive and intrusive DRM, locking threads where legitimate criticism is brought up and refusing to update and adapt their store and the way they sell and promote their game to the 21:st century.
But if that is the choice they want to make, and if they are determined to make it, it's not in my power to stop them.
I wish NWS and RTW2 all the luck and support because I think the games you make are good ones, but in the end after having followed dozens of indie developers and witnessed it countless of times before I know exactly where this road ends, and it's not in a flourishing and popular RTW3 that I can buy on any store I want, that I can watch my favorite influences play and a game I can enjoy on any and as many devices as I want.

Not sure what all the DRM fuss is about. Every game I have bought for the last 20 years has some form of drm, even if its just steam. The first RTW had a license code you had to be emailed(from memory could be wrong) :-). As long as it works out of the box without getting in the way of play I really don't care.

I cannot be the only one who sees the poetic irony of the situation. RtW2 has a big focus on the fall of the battleship and the rise of the carrier. One central element to that period of history is "Battleship Admirals" who steadfastly held that their methods of war, 20 years out of date, were still relevant in the modern world. And sure, those methods 'worked'. But they were outdated and usually only succeeded in certain scenarios. Does having to email a developer for an access code work? Technically, yes. But it's 2019. I would have balked at that proposition in 2009. Maybe even 1999, if I had been old enough to be buying my own games back then. The only reason I went in on RtW1 was because I had a friend who got me into it.
Discounts being applied retroactively by, again, emailing a dev with proof of purchase? Yes, that 'works'. But it's a bizarre and archaic method that makes me question the capabilities of all involved. I honestly hadn't originally intended on applying my discount, because I felt good throwing an extra $5 the devs way. Now I'm debating with myself whether to apply it as an 'annoyance fee' or ignore it to save myself the trouble.
