What are "best Practices" according to you and you realize it would be illegal for you to sell to people in the EU if you are not compliant. you will be fined and The fine is up to 4 percent of the company’s annual global revenue or up to 20 million euros ($23 million), whichever is higher.

Tythas, the online store has been around since 1999 and selling to most all countries during that time on a very secure SSL locked system. We do take our security very seriously.
Thanks

Yes, we are quite aware of the GDPR regulations - 'best practices' is another term for basically what steps the GDPR (and US regulations) requires you to use to protect customer data, to inform the customer of what data you are collecting, and allow customer opt outs of/or remove certain data, etc.

Thanks Are you kidding me SSL does not provide any security once the data is on the server. It is still necessary to use hashing and server side encryption if you want to protect the data, which I sincerely hope you guys are doing.
and you guys have heard of SSLStrip right? with that one person can easily break your SSL and steal data, which i hope you aren't storing people's info plain text either becuase if you are then whoever breaks your SSL WILL have access to all of your customers data, which would include mine.

The SSL obviously controls the security when you enter your order information, and payment details are deleted after 30 days.
All the server data is handled by the store merchant services on their secure system as required by federal data protection regulations.
For that matter, since we are talking DD you don't even have to offer your mailing address so long as the payment information is valid - which also has multiple verification methods built in.
WM showed you the link above as to the merchant services.
Are you here to ask any other questions or just about security?

I do have more questions, what is the craziest ship you have made while testing the game and how well did it work?

I do have more questions, what is the craziest ship you have made while testing the game and how well did it work? Might be good to do another thread on that one.. I am sure the players would jump in for RTW1. Right now our team is very busy getting RTW2 ready for launch. Thanks

I do have more questions, what is the craziest ship you have made while testing the game and how well did it work? Well, this was during very early RTW1 (not RTW2) testing, but I had a destroyer that somehow ended up with a huge negative maximum speed and it sorta 'teleported' backwards like some sort of reverse warp drive technology. As long as you steered it opposite the direction you wanted it would 'teleport' several miles each minute-turn the direction you wanted. I tried using it as a scout but it didn't work so well as it 'teleported' onto land and basically got stuck.

bcoopactual - oh, if only that one had teleported into a planet early on... as a Paradox mod used to say, 'I hate it with the passion of a thousand burning nuns'. Will Rogers once observed that 'there hasn't been a good idea out of the Oval Office in thirty years'. I'd say the entertainment industry has a similar but only slightly better record. It baffles me that STD got made as-it-was, fan productions got lawsuited, a really good story like 'Axanar' wasn't snapped up and professionally made... But then, CBS turned down 'Star Trek' for 'Lost in Space' and turned down Seth McFarland for STD... If only McFarland had called it 'CSI: Star Trek' or 'NCIS: Vulcan' he'd have gotten the green light.

Can we please stop using that acronym, right now I have to imagine CBS executives with advanced stages of neurosyphilis.
Which would explain a lot of things though.

What do you mean? For every naval grognard on this board STD stands for Submarine Torpedo Defense...

ironduke666 - I'd be glad to use something else, but as you point out it was the CBS executives who picked that name. Didn't anybody there look at the obvious acronym and go, 'You know... maybe we should change it up a bit'? tbr - I thought, 'Sailor's Tropical Disease', but yours is in better taste.
