I'm trying to mod ships directly into the game and it seems to be the main problem

What about create new game and modify current ships?

The campaign is working, and fully modifying ~500 ships seems like hell without a script.
I just have no idea what happens when two ships with the same ID pop up in battle or campaign events

The shipId is a unique identifier used to keep track of ships in game. If you mod anything, you should make sure you do not change it or things may go wrong. There should not be two ships with the same Id.

There should not be two ships with the same Id. Ah, thats what I feared I’m essentially creating a save file, so how should I go about naming their IDs?
