I'm not asking for a list of every bug fix and minor change, but if there are bug fixes that fix bugs from the base game or adjustments to combat that change things from the base game it would be nice to see what those are. Also will there be any kind of update to the core game that will go along with the paid expansion that includes various bug fixes and stuff like the mothballed damage ships feature minus the paid content for the expanded timeline (similar to how Paradox does DLCs for EUIV) or is it all in the expansion only? The current fixes mentioned are mainly for issues brought on by additions/changes created by the Expansion in the internal betas, and are thus not really applicable for future public releases. if the core game is updated, all bug fixes would be specifically mentioned with such releases.

Now heres a question that arose in my mind: can a ship have BOTH fixed-winged aircraft and rotorcraft?
For example can an aircraft carrier operate helicopters in addition to fixed wing aircraft. Logically that would be the case which would suggest that helos would be somewhat "decoupled" mechanically from fixed wing aircraft. As such, would they be handled like floatplanes or would we have actual helicopter airwings. How would management work in terms of "this many planes and this many helos"?
With the changes mentioned to late game (jet) aircraft I am very curious how this will be handled.

Being able to carry both floatplanes and carrier aircraft would be a cool extension of this for the early game(there’s historical precedent). My hope is that we get Jets, floatplanes, helicopters, and prop aircraft as four separate wings that you can choose the size of. Would allow you to have smaller prop aircraft CVs into the jet age, and put helicopters/floatplanes on your carriers as scouts/asw

Really looking forward to an 1890 start. The modern changes make the end game more interesting but seeing the predreadnought era expanded worth it alone.

There will be tips on loading screens? Will it even be useful? My 180 euro laptop can load a great battle in some 4 seconds. My gaming PC doesnt even show any loading screens, practically any battle is loaded in a blink of an eye.

Bit of trivia: A lot of smaller indy games fake loading screens in order to have a proper transition or display loading tips/info etc. Gives the player more of a feeling that something 'more' has been done when they do something.

Looking forward to starting in 1890 and getting to spend more time in the pre-dread era. I'm not really interested in the later tech stuff personally but I hope its fun for those who are.

Then loading screen mini games to need to make a comeback now that the patent is over for them. Loading screens arent really a thing anymore if you've got decent specs or new console. Buuuut put em in anyways just for the mini games! Id enjoy them

I have a question. Are the Eras going to change? As in, is Era 0 going to be 1890 to 1902-3 or is it more like Era 0= 1890-1895 Era 1= 1896-1900?

Are there any plans on how in depth you are going to go with ASM, SAMs and Submarines? Will we get a specific editor for requesting SAM and ASM designs like with airplanes ? And will we be able to design/develop submarines ?
I'm just waiting for the opportunity to refit my 1890 ship with 1970s tech and have the longest combat operational ship

The tips appear on the initial game 'startup' screen, so they are there until you load/start a game.

Will the USA be able to do something like the Spainish-American war? Just some thought on that: A "minor war" feature would also be great, e.g. centered around those intervention, rebellion or (later) independence events. So, instead of just tossing the dice when you agree to send an expeditionary force, you get a random battle against some standard contemporary ship designs with local names (representing local forces of the possession in question) and particular objectives. This might even go on into the 1980's to reflect things like Operation Praying Mantis, or so... or even the entirety of the Falklands War.

Love the 1890 start because now it will force me to build pre dreads as I usually don’t in the beginning. I’m curious if the game will also see an end expansion to add 20 years to the Cold War. But I can’t complain really looking forward to when this is released. Didn’t read all the posts or not sure if anyone can answer this but are more missile types like ship to ship sorry not really good with my missile knowledge or are SAMs and ASM just going to be the main focus? Keep up the great work everyone working on the Rule the Waves 2 expansion and helping us with problems and questions.

Hi, I hope this expansion will include : - AI War : to decrease AI fleet tonage over time and to make the player more active in managing tension. - AI auto battle : If i dont want to make a battle, i want the AI to take care of it. If it is simplified or if it's a 5 real time minutes to simulate it, i dont know care as i just want to choose which battle i play without being penalize by avoiding other ones. - Modification of the traits of a country over time (good or bad traits). Countries change over 80 years. - Creation of fleet battle group to choose which ships go to battle together. If it's too complicated, new battle roles to limit ships participation to patrol/trade protection/raiding (only small engagements) or main fleet (big battles)
If possible : a way to limit the number of ships built at the same moment (especially big ones). It would make planification more important and it would force the players to "always" build ship instead of waiting for the best design and mass build new ships. If shipyards are identifed, it could add a strategic layer to strike these to prevent ship construction.
