A brilliant engagement! I actually got goosebumps. What type of captains, what skills did they have, on Lepanto & Conte di Cavour?

Although Fredrik would be the best one to answer this, I believe at present that the factor determining vulnerable sea-zones is friendly bases, friendly to your foe that is. I'm not aware of any code written for aircraft flying out of 'friendly' bases other than their own though, so if I had to guess your war started with Russia originally and France joined them, so the 'flag' indicating primary foe is thrown for Russia, and when it calls for the detail ID after it determines this randomization of a loss it gets Russian aircraft despite the fact that it should be French.
Another one for the long list. Though I'm sure you could head-canon it that its a small detachment sent for the job, because they had different equipment they wanted to test.

The percentages you are seeing is what is common to see in the game. It is true that it is impossible at present to get off a strike with even only 1 drop-out from each flight. The percentages were set at this level based upon theater averages from WWII, so it perhaps could be brought up for an adjustment of some kind. There is a lot of work queued ahead of this, but thank you for raising the issue.

I just captured this one this morning. This captain really believes in himself.
The next enemy division just about to steam onto the bottom of the screen was too easy, he needed to up the difficulty.

1) I AM DELIGHTED TO SEE YOU FOUND THAT.
2) i am ashamed that after working on this for 6+ years that's the first i've heard of that. Yet I'm sure it's all part of an evil plan or something... ANYWAY, talking about fields/variables like EvilPlan, garrisonchisholm do you know if it is possible to release some kind of updated file regarding what value does what? Like an updated version of what Fredrik created HERE? I've seen quite a few questions regarding that both here on this board and on steam. It is possible, but Fredrik's bandwidth is maxed so it would have to fall to some poor sod like, oh, me.
I'll see what i can do, but let's not give it a time-table.

Or its the intense magnetic field there from sunken Atlantis.
Worth it if we could capture Archimedes's Heat Ray of Doom. As long as its more useful than Mythbuster's heat-ray of doom!

Looks like my USA ships are retreating to... I dont know... see crusader castles in the north east of the Med? View AttachmentI had a curious action south-west of Cyprus where I withdrew West but my carriers insisted on traveling east, for the entire battle, through the night when they weren't operating aircraft.. There may be something there.

I didn't see this till this morning, unfortunately. Had I voted, I would probably have picked staying neutral, so would not have influenced your decision at all. Two questions, one of which is completely off topic. Have you had any luck with large, expensive Bs with the "hail of fire" concept like those 17,000 ton, 12x9". I tried that once but had no decisive battles with with them and then chickened out on followup games, reverting to 4x12" and as many 6" secondaries as I could fit. I generally always find more guns are better, at least until 1935/40 when the armor sacrifice you had to make to get more guns runs up against 16"+ fleets. My basic pre-dread is an A/R/Y -2 gun of 9" or more, ideally with 2 extra knots so I can bulge them at first opportunity, though I wait until I "learn" the torpedo lesson in-game; it bugs me to be too 'meta', as illogical as that is.How could you even influence your vote option of entering the war on Britain's side? I am guessing game decision two, invoking that clause. I would have picked whichever of the first two options suited me more after hovering the mouse over them (the way I usually answer game decision questions), but I am not familiar with this question, so don't know which option would tick Germany off enough to break their alliance with me. Well it was basically a choice of honor the alliance with Germany and face a tough war where I may or may not prosper as a navy, or honor the alliance with France and avoid making England my enemy, and have a quite easy war that would allow me to build up my navy even more. I realize taking time off to answer questions can delay getting out a new version that corrects a lot of the issues you are facing right now, but whatever advice you can give would be greatly appreciated
I'm actually very sorry its taken me so long to reply, I've had a very challenging week and my attention was elsewhere. But I'm back to work this weekend.

Yes, but look how many warships had folks crying for preservation but they just couldn't get the funding. I'm afraid there has to be some RNG to it. I'll admit that the size of the player's economy (and consequently success) could probably be part of that factoring, but there's so much to do. I'm afraid its scrap and hope, though you could always just head-canon it.

There have been some tweaks with how designs are presented, I'm curious to see how that affects things.
As battleship lovers - I mean, that's why we're Here - I'm sure we all try to keep them longer than we should, but it is so sad to realize that unless you are plain lucky you're going to see them get slaughtered if you keep them past 1960. & oddly, that's a navy that Holland *could* afford.

Well Ironically I chose the option no-one voted for, as England's ally. The war was won, I fought a single action with no losses and "gaining minor concessions" turned into 12 points, so I took all I could (German Africa) and built my economy by 5 points.

You could say that. Or, you could say I was going after Germany to get Formosa and didn't realize who they were allied with. >.> Well you have a confidence I would not have, since I would tend to consider that an fail state to be honest
Here is where I left that game, which is back in September. I had seen all there was to see, and also had discovered I was in a no-win situation with England and not interested in a last dragged out conflict. I had managed to keep almost all of my peak territories and was rather pleased to include Panama in that.

I am finally posting this feel-good image jeeweej ! I had a lot of fun with this mod, and after we get 1 new feature ironed out I will get it re-installed in my current test game for more Dutch fun.
Are you still available to work on it, have you made any more changes or improvements?
Man you are very cheeky having went after British Malaya and now going to war with the US You could say that. Or, you could say I was going after Germany to get Formosa and didn't realize who they were allied with. >.>
