WWI Mod Discussion

With the release of HLF V2.0, I'm moving on to finish my WWI mod, and I'm hoping for feedback and suggestions
If you've been following my progress on discord this has been in dev for a while, and I'm going to start posting updates here

Basic Information
Starts in August 1914
Options for Peacetime and Wartime
Central Powers and Entente will be aligned
The peacetime start will include custom nations-currently planning Spain, Netherlands, and China, but am open to more suggestions
Other starts will include the 8 big powers, most cut out either A-H or Russia due to the 7 nation limit
For wartime starts, minor nations will be added to the nearby allied major nations



Just for fun, this is Spain's battleship that starts under construction

Question:
Might seem like an odd one - are you including including the designs of the Dutch 1913 battleship proposal(s)? They were just having their funding bill introduced to the Parliament in August 1914, but ofc they were never laid down.

Yeah, I’m planning on including the four from the bill.  I’m also considering including the Java class even though they weren’t ordered until after the war start, because the Dutch are so small anyways

I decided to name them after ships of the line, but am open to suggestions

Probably this weekend for the first working version!

Fun statistics- in this mod, so far, there are 2,020 ships and coastal artillery batteries, coming from 414 different ship classes
Right now there are 10 peacetime starts planned in August 1914, the next phase will be 8 wartime starts, and then any other custom nations

My complements, it should be an interesting historical mod. I love these kinds of mods. Wish I had the talent to do this. If you need any data or something along that lines, I would be honored to contribute the information.

It looks great! However, can you make a version where the war doesn't start of its own volition?

That's actually what this start is, the other start will begin with the war

What I meant is that I noticed that within 6 months the war starts regardless of our actions.

Ah, I'll lower tensions a bit with France, it only starts at half but I guess that's just a few bad turns away from war
